Robert Joseph Simoneau (Bob) 64 of Cumberland, RI, passed away on April 1st in his home in Cumberland. Robert was born at Notre Dame Hospital in Central Falls, RI on April 22, 1959 to the late Robert E. Simoneau, and Carol A. Simoneau.
Robert went to Central Fall high school and obtained a career as a machinist and a slitter at thyssenkrupp in Smithfield, RI for 17 years. Robert had a passion for music, he was a member of the Rhode Island Matador’s Drum and Bugle Corps for a decade. He also enjoyed taking vacations with his fiancé Ann Healy to Cape Cod during summers. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and Boston Celtics. One of his favorite past times was spending time with family, having cookouts and family gatherings. Robert was also an amazing cook.
Robert was also survived by his fiancé Ann Healy of Cumberland, daughter Shana Fowler of Warwick, sister Linda Gilman and her husband Michael of North Smithfield, sister Debra Costa and her husband Michael from Cumberland, sister Lisa Church of Cumberland, and brother Robert Allen Simoneau from Pawtucket. He also leaves two grandchildren Leilani and Leo and a great-grandson Emmanuel. Also survived by Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and Memorial Service will be held on Sunday April 7th 2024 at Keefe Funeral Home in Lincoln, RI from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
